Instagram Tips

by Jen Greenhalgh

Along with other social media, Instagram engagement is really important to growing your brand and showing people what you do. Eye catching posts draw people in and one of the easiest and most effective ways for you to really up your activity on Instagram.

It’s also an important way to grow LDE London’s presence on social media so we ask all you lovely Dames to tag us in your next relevant posts or stories. Tell us what you’re doing, about an event, give us a great recipe or just show us something fascinating.

To help you out, Dame Jen Greenhalgh has put together this handy guide to using social media.

Tagging is when a person attaches a specific label to a post, picture, video or status that groups it with other content that uses the same label. It helps people with similar interests find us and helps others find our content.

When you’re uploading a photo, tap the “Tag People” button. Tap on the person or object in the photo you want to tag. Type in our username (@ldelondon) and it should appear from a drop-down menu. Click it and tap “Done.”

As well as tagging us in the photo itself, you can also tag @ldelondon in your caption, allowing followers to click on the tag to access our profile.

As you’re writing the caption, type @ldelondon, tap the username as it comes up, then tap “Done.”

If you’ve got all that, you can also tag us in an Instagram Story:

Create your Story by either uploading a photo or video or taking the photo or video directly through your Story lens. On the top right of the image or video you are uploading, tap the second icon (a post-it note type square with a smiley face). Type @ldelondon in the box that appears, tap the username as it comes up, then tap “Done”, publish your story.
Looking forward to seeing all your posts!
